I am a macroeconomist. My approach is to test macroeconomic phenomena with microdata, and then bring the evidence into quantitative models to evaluate policy. My work spans the labor income share, the elasticity of substitution between capital and labor, AI and skill‑biased technical change, income inequality, and household consumption insurance.
